Tilt Test Details
What occurs during a Tilt Test?
The person performing the test will take your heart rate and blood pressure while you’re laying down for around 10 minutes.
After that, they will tilt you to 70 degrees and monitor your heart rate and blood pressure for the next ten+ minutes.
If your heart rate goes up a certain amount and your symptoms worsen, you may have POTS or another type of Dysautonomia. Your blood pressure can drop or spike when tilted— It is your body trying to compensate for tilting or moving.
